The French serial killer Joseph Vacher lived from 1868 to 1898. The police assume that he had at least 11 people on his conscience. Vacher's victims were mostly young agricultural workers. It didn't matter whether they were female or male.

Theodore "Ted" Robert Bundy killed at least 28 young women between the age of 18 and his final arrest in 1978. Ted Bundy was found to have murdered 28 women, but at least 36 victims are suspected.

Peter Kürten, also called Vampire from Düsseldorf, was a multiple serial killer at the beginning of the last century. He committed a series of sexual crimes, robberies and murders of children and adults.

Serial killer Earle Leonard Nelson was born on May 12, 1897 and was hanged in Winnipeg on January 13, 1928. He escaped from Napa State Hospital several times. After his last escape, he began his series of murders in 1926.

Mexican-born Juan Corona employed seasonal workers on a California farm in the 1970s. He also gave them a place to sleep on the site where 25 bodies were later discovered. He was sentenced to 25 life sentences with no prospect of pardon.

Alexander Pichushkin is a Russian serial killer from Moscow. In 1992 the then 18-year-old student began planning the so-called checkerboard murders together with his friend and classmate Mikhail Odiichuk.
