Life sentence for Serhiy Tkach
Serhiy Tkach had different motives for murder. The serial killer admitted that his three women had not treated him well in his life. He took revenge with his murders. He later admitted that his main motive was sexual desire, but also the fact that he proved to his police colleagues with the murders "what a man he was".
Serhiy Tkach is a man with a disturbing psyche. A murderer who acted out of vengeance and also sought confirmation from his work colleagues. How could such a person have been proven to murder over 40 girls and young women?
Although he demanded a death penalty, the court sentenced him to 36 life sentences - for proven 36 murders of young girls. Before he was brought in by the police, nine innocent men were convicted of atrocities - one of the men committed suicide while in prison.
In 2006, after a year in Dnipropetrovsk, he was sentenced to life imprisonment. Serhiy Tkach died in prison in 2018.
